Marvin and April Shockey believe that Poolville is the perfect community to bring in a tiny home community. It is far enough outside of the city limits to be "country" and close enough that you can grab something from the store or visit a local retailer.
As our tiny home community grows, so will we. We have plans for a general store, an outdoor pavilion, a dog park, laundry facilities, and even a car wash. For now, we are opening up our land to those who are ready to begin their tiny home life or are looking to relocate to our little piece of the "country."
Our Mission: At Cozy Acre Tiny Home Community, our mission is to provide a unique tiny home community with trees and amenities to inspire and connect a community by living the tiny house way in our small country setting.
Our Statement: At Cozy Acre Tiny Home Community, we envision a community of 17 tiny homes all working in harmony for the betterment of everyone's life by creating a harmonious living area to work and breathe in away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city.
Having received the property after long-time resident and father, Carl Minteer passed away,
the Shockey's were not exactly sure what they would do with this property with so many trees and a creek running through it.
As residents of a local suburb in Fort Worth and maintaining full-time jobs in the metroplex, moving to the property was just not an option.
So after extended conversations with Dianne Minteer and a couple of long-time friends of Carl Minteer, it was determined that a tiny home community might be an exciting adventure.
And then Covid hit.
But on July 9th, after the purchase of a John Deere Tractor and some steel-toed boots, the adventure began.
